Tunde Adams believes that TEAP FC are ‘close to a champion’s level’ and
that they will be ‘fighting to be amongst the best’ come the end of the
2013/2014 Nigeria National League season.
The Abuja outfit have enjoyed a fine run in the different warm-up games played in preparation for an excellent surge to their 2013-14 campaign both in the NNL and Fed Cup.
However, the positives are there to be seen, according to the forward, who is ready to show his stuff having done great things in the colours of First Bank FC in 2012/13 Nigeria Nationwide League.
“It’s always better when you have more minutes and score more goals, but we all have to keep working hard,” considered Tunde to teapfcabuja.blogspot.com on Friday.
“There are many games this year, and so there are minutes for everyone. I have always showed ambition to perform and this season won’t be an exception,” the Werder Bremen trialist declared.
“I have to help my team, play more minutes and focus as it is pointless to look back.
“The team’s form? I believe we are getting better. We have played thrice this week, we showed guts with two wins and one draw, and are increasingly getting used to the system the team coaches want from us.
“It is still too early to say if we can fight, but we must do things slowly, without raising any rooftops, and I am sure that if we do the same, the team will fight to be amongst the best.”
Tunde has featured in most of the friendlies played so far, and he had always impressed. On Thursday, he grabbed a brace for the Abuja side against Jojo Football Club.
