We can perform better says TEAP FC striker Emeka Uzor

In the wake of his two-goal  show in the warm-up match against Super Warriors, Emeka Uzor has reflected that whilst TEAP FC have room to improve, comparisons with other Nigeria National League sides are not worthwhile, after the club finished 12th in the recent season. The Abuja side defeated Warriors 8-1 at the Area 3 Pitch on Friday.

The RCCG boys  head into December 7th opener still under mild scrutiny for their developing playing style and philosophy under.

''There isn’t a best team in the history of football every year. The years pass for everyone, and we have resolved to prove a point this season.

''I know we can do better and we have an important margin of improvement, but seeing the results we’ve secured in these pre-season games, we can only be optimistic about the future.

''I hope we can find our best form soon when the season starts, he said.

 ''At the beginning of the programme we had dips in form but now we are more consistent. We could still do better with controlling matches.''

''It doesn’t suit us to have a feeling of not being in control, because our players are very decisive. The idea is that our rivals feel as though they don’t have control.

''Emotions for some expected Abuja derbies? I cannot answer that because this is not the first time that I will experience the derby. I relish such challenges and I'm ready for what the likes of FRSC FC and Prisons FC have in the pipeline for us.

On the expected return of indisposed Ayo'oluwa Adetola Isreal, the former Tonniere forward said great things about the talented young midfielder.

He’s very strong mentally and brings a lot of varieties to the coaches' tactical plans. I have no worries when it comes to him, the only thing we want is for him to be match fit.
